Issue:- The petition was filed by the Delhi Government whereby the directions were sought for the state of Haryana to facilitate the supply of water to Delhi from Himachal Pradesh.

The vacation bench of Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and Justice Prasanna B Varale remarked that due to the excessive media coverage that has been given to the case, the court would like to read the case file first, else the media reports can create influence which would not be a good thing.
