Share Google location with police: Delhi High Court to accused released on interim bail

The division bench of Delhi high court while hearing to the plea of interim bail of proclaimed offender (herein Chandra prakash alias pappu) took the route of technology to confirm the presence of applicant, as the bench directed the applicant (offender) to share his location with IO (investigating officer) every alternative day through Google location without a fail.

Further the bench asked the applicant to connect with IO through telephonic calls on every alternative day at 11am to mark his presence.

Thereafter, when the court asked for the status report of the applicant from the state it was observed that the applicant is a proclaimed offender in the ongoing case since August, 2011 and has been acquitted from 5 other cases related to the present case. Thus, while acknowledging the facts and circumstances of the case the court further directed the applicant to not to leave Delhi and further not to indulge in any criminal activity or to tamper evidences. The division bench then ordered the applicant to provide two local sureties for 25,000 Rs each before the trail court.
