Karnataka High Court judge reveals in open court he was threatened with transfer; says he will protect judicial independence

A Karnataka high court Judge on Monday made a frightening case that he was given a  danger of move whenever kept on checking progress of a case including a senior IAS official in Bengaluru.

Judge HP Sandesh mentioned an oral objective fact during the knowing about a defilement allegation of one more government official.

The authority the HC judge was alluding to was on the examinations being completed by Karnataka’s Anti-defilement Bureau (ACB) for a situation including Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru (Urban).

The Judge was hearing a case documented by PS Mahesh, a representative Tashildar for supposedly taking hush-money of ₹5 lakh in a matter connected with a land debate.

For the situation connecting with the IAS official, the Judge compared debasement to “disease” and said that he will safeguard the freedom of the legal executive no matter what from such dangers.

“Your ADGP is so strong… Some individual addressed one of our High Court judges. The appointed authority came and sat with me and he says, giving an instance of moving one of the adjudicator to another area… I won’t hold back to specify the name of the appointed authority additionally (sic),” the appointed authority said.

He added that he would safeguard the autonomy of the judiciary at the expense of his own “judgeship”.

Karnataka has seen claims of defilement and terrorizing stack up lately yet seldom has a HC judge offered such frightening comments in which government authorities have been attempting to utilize their abilities against the Judiciary.
