Reservations to Transgender granted in State Service by Karnataka Government

To reform the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) rules, 1977, the Karnataka Government has decided to reserve 1 percent of the vacancies in the State Government’s posts for transgender candidates in each category of General merit, SC, ST and in each of the OBC categories. The government has proposed to amend Rule 9, sub rule (1) (d) and rule 16 of the said rules.
